Health Care Credit Union protects the privacy of its members (and other consumers) in accordance with applicable federal and state law. The credit union collects information about consumers from applications or other forms, from transactions conducted with the credit union, from consumer reporting agencies and from government agencies such as the Department of Motor Vehicles.
The credit union will disclose non public personal information about consumers to third parties only for the purpose of providing members with information about financial products and services. Third parties to which the information may be provided must be approved by the Board of Directors. The credit union will disclose non public personal information only to third parties which agree not to disclose any information provided by the credit union except in connection with providing financial products and services.
The credit union will maintain internal controls to protect the members’ non public personal information. These controls include physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. Information should be provided only to employees on a “need to know” basis.
